Steve Hinan Presents (“Steve Hinan Presents,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, displayed, and deleted when you play Hexapuss (the “Game”).

By downloading, accessing, or playing the Game, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. INFORMATION COLLECTED

The Game uses Microsoft PlayFab to provide online services, including leaderboard functionality.

The information collected or processed in connection with these services may include:

A PlayFab player identifier;
Gameplay statistics, including your win count and headbang count;
Leaderboard scores and rankings;
City and country code information associated with your PlayFab player record, when available; and
Technical information automatically processed by PlayFab as necessary to operate its online services.

We do not directly request your legal name, home address, telephone number, payment information, email address, or Meta username through the Game.

City and country code information is provided or generated through PlayFab services. We do not use this information to determine or display your precise physical location.

2. LEADERBOARDS AND PUBLICLY DISPLAYED INFORMATION

The Game uses PlayFab to operate in-game leaderboards.

Information displayed in the Game may include:

Your win count;
Your headbang count;
Your leaderboard ranking;
Your city, when available; and
Your country code, when available.

This information may be visible to other players.

3. HOW INFORMATION IS USED

Information collected or processed through the Game may be used to:

Create and maintain a PlayFab player record;
Operate and display online leaderboards;
Record and display gameplay statistics;
Provide the Game’s online features;
Maintain the security, stability, and functionality of the Game;
Diagnose technical problems;
Respond to player support requests;
Prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized activity; and
Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We do not use your information for targeted advertising or third-party marketing.

4. MICROSOFT PLAYFAB

The Game uses Microsoft PlayFab as a third-party service provider for gameplay statistics, player records, and leaderboards.

PlayFab may process information on our behalf according to Microsoft’s applicable privacy practices and service terms. PlayFab player records may contain identifiers, gameplay statistics, leaderboard information, and general location fields such as city and country code.

Microsoft and PlayFab may process or store information on servers located outside your state, province, or country.

5. DATA SHARING

We may share or permit access to information only in the following circumstances:

Service providers: Information may be processed by Microsoft PlayFab to provide online features and leaderboards.

Legal requirements: Information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, a valid legal request, court order, or government requirement.

Protection and security: Information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, security, or safety of Steve Hinan Presents, our players, or others.

Business transfer: Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, sale, reorganization, or transfer of the Game or its related assets.

We do not share player information with third parties for their independent advertising purposes.

6. DATA RETENTION

Gameplay statistics, leaderboard records, PlayFab identifiers, location information, and related data may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to:

Operate the Game and its leaderboards;
Maintain player records;
Resolve technical or support issues;
Protect the Game from fraud or abuse;
Satisfy legal obligations; or
Complete a valid deletion request.

Information may remain temporarily in backups, logs, or processing systems after a deletion request while the deletion process is completed.

7. ACCESS AND DATA DELETION REQUESTS

You may request access to or deletion of data associated with your use of Hexapuss by contacting:

To help us locate the correct leaderboard record, please include as much of the following information as possible:

Your country code as displayed in the Game;
Your city as displayed in the Game, if available;
Your current or approximate win count;
Your current or approximate headbang count;
Your approximate leaderboard ranking, if known; and
The approximate date you last played the Game.

We do not require your Meta username because it is not stored or displayed in our leaderboard records.

The information provided with your request will be used only to locate and verify the relevant player record. If the information matches more than one record or is not sufficient to identify a record, we may request additional gameplay information.

This verification process helps prevent the accidental or unauthorized deletion of another player’s information.

Deleting your PlayFab player record may permanently remove your leaderboard scores, gameplay statistics, ranking, and other associated information. Deleted information may not be recoverable.

We will process verified requests within a reasonable period and in accordance with applicable law.

8. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Game is not intentionally directed to children under the minimum age permitted to independently use the Meta Quest platform in their location.

We do not knowingly request personal information directly from children. If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information through the Game, please contact us at stevehinan@gmail.com so that we can review the matter and take appropriate action.

9. DATA SECURITY

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information associated with the Game.

However, no online service, electronic transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information processed through the Game or third-party services.

10. INTERNATIONAL DATA PROCESSING

The Game and its third-party service providers may process information in countries other than the country in which you live. Those countries may have privacy and data-protection laws that differ from the laws in your jurisdiction.

11. ADVERTISING

The Game does not currently use player information for targeted advertising, behavioral advertising, or third-party marketing.

If advertising services are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when those practices begin, as required by applicable law and platform policies.

12. ANALYTICS AND ADDITIONAL SERVICES

The Game’s services and features may change over time. If we introduce analytics, crash-reporting tools, additional platform services, or other technologies that materially change how player information is collected or used, we will update this Privacy Policy to describe those practices.

The Effective Date or Last Updated date at the top of this Privacy Policy will identify the latest version.

13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect:

Changes to the Game;
Changes to third-party services;
Changes to our information practices;
Platform requirements; or
Legal or regulatory requirements.

The revised policy will be posted at the same publicly accessible location, and the Last Updated date will be changed.

Your continued use of the Game after an updated policy becomes effective constitutes acknowledgment of the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
